I’m a size 12 or 11.5(sometimes) in men’s shoes. So, what size would I be in flip flops?

I want to get Quiksilver Rawhide flip flop sandals. How much room should you leave in the back of your foot when you pick sandals? when I wear theold navy size 12 ones I have and stand up there’s about less than a half an inch of empty space in the back, but when I sit, there’s like a whole inch of space back there.
